    Mr. Tomer has more than two decades of experience in leadership roles within the medical technology sector, running global franchises at Johnson & Johnson focused on a range of therapeutic areas including diabetes care, spine, cardiology, endovascular, orthopedics, and electrophysiology, both in the US and Europe. Mr. Tomer was most recently the Global President of Johnson & Johnson’s DePuy Synthes Spine franchise. Mr. Tomer serves on the board of directors at Augmedics, Agada Medical, and Vascular Graft Solutions. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School, holds a B.S. in medicine from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and an M.B.A. in finance and new ventures from Bar IIan University.

    Sean Flanagan

    Vice President, Legal

    Sean Flanagan joined Cynosure in October of 2018 and currently leads the company’s global legal organization. Prior to joining Cynosure, Sean acted as Corporate Counsel at NxStage Medical, Inc., a publicly traded company engaged in developing innovative technologies aimed at improving treatment options for dialysis patients. At NxStage, Sean served a lead legal representative for NxStage’s renal care division and assisted with the $2 billion sale of NxStage to Fresenius Medical Care. Sean began his career as a Corporate Associate at Devine, Millimet & Branch, Professional Association in Manchester, NH specializing in corporate transactional work.

    Sean earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, where he was a member of the Suffolk University Law Review. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, especially when they are vacationing in Maine.

  • Erik Glaser, Executive Vice President, Strategy and M&A

    Erik Glaser

    Executive Vice President, Strategy and M&A

    Erik served as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for Laborie Medical Technologies. Prior to that, he led M&A and strategic investing activities at Smith & Nephew across the company’s orthopedic, sports medicine, and OB/GYN surgical divisions. In both of these roles, Erik developed an extensive track record of performance in sourcing and closing value enhancing deals. He began his career as an R&D engineer at Guidant Corporation and has also held various product development and program management roles.

    Erik earned Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from The Ohio State University and an MBA degree from Babson College.

    Erik lives in Southborough, MA, with his wife and four children. Outside of work, Erik enjoys volunteering for his son’s Boy Scout troop, bicycling, and spending time at the beach.

    Bob Howe joined Cynosure in June 2023 as Chief Financial Officer. Bob has over 25 years of experience in the medical device industry in both public and private equity backed companies. Prior to joining Cynosure, Bob was most recently the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Conformis, Inc., a publicly traded company in the orthopedic joint replacement market, where he led the Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technologies organizations. Prior to that Bob spent five years at NxStage Medical, Inc., as Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller, where he was responsible for corporate financial planning & analysis, financial reporting and controls, shared services, treasury, and tax. Bob also held senior financial positions at Lake Region Medical, a medical device contract manufacturer. He began his career in the medical device industry at Boston Scientific, where he spent 17 years and held financial leadership roles in three of the company’s operating divisions and senior roles in manufacturing and corporate finance.

    Bob earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from Babson College and an MBA degree from Boston University. Outside of work, Bob enjoys spending time with his family, snowboarding, mountain biking, and fishing.

    Lowinn most recently served as Global Head of the Johnson & Johnson Human Performance Institute.  Lowinn has built a diverse portfolio of global leadership experiences across multiple business sectors and business functions throughout his career, including General Management, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D.  At Johnson & Johnson, Lowinn held global commercial leadership roles in Consumer and Medical Device sectors. In addition, he served as Asia Pacific Managing Director of Vision Care ASEAN, Vice President of Marketing APAC, and Founder of the J&J APAC Vision Care Business Model Innovation Center.

    Lowinn holds an MBA in International Business from St. Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is married to Mindy, and together they have three children and three grandchildren.

    Nikhil joined Cynosure in May 2022, and currently leads the EMEA & LATAM regions. Prior to joining Cynosure, Nik was CEO at Centros Unico, Spain’s largest Laser Hair Removal and Aesthetic Medicine chain with over 160 locations, for 5 years and where he was responsible for the diversifying the brand´s portfolio from Laser Hair Removal to include Advanced Aesthetics and Aesthetic Medicine services.  In addition, Nik has worked in the retail industry for over 20 years across the EMEA and Globally for various brands including Carolina Herrera, Swarovski, Pronovias, Desigual and The Body Shop.

    Nik has a Global Executive MBA from IESE University in Spain and lives in Madrid with his wife, Leila, and his 5 children.

    Executive Vice President of Research & Product Development

    Sujat Sukthankar, is a veteran of the medical device industry with a career that includes R&D and GM leadership roles in prominent MedTech companies such as Boston Scientific and Becton Dickinson. Before joining Cynosure, he served as the head of Platform Engineering for the $1.7Bln Catheter Care Medication Delivery platform within Becton Dickinson. Prior to that, he served as the VP, R&D at Boston Scientific – Urology & Pelvic Health (UroPH) where he was a member of the UroPH Management Board and the Boston Scientific Technical Executive Committee.  Sujat has also held leadership roles at Endo Health Solutions (formerly Endo Pharmaceuticals, Best Medical International and Rosses Medical Systems. He is the author or co-author of several publications in peer reviewed journals and holds multiple patents. Sujat graduated with a M.S. & Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Univ. of Akron, Ohio, and an MBA from Georgetown Univ. McDonough School of Business in Washington DC.  He resides in Shrewsbury MA with his wife and two children and is an avid musician playing Indian percussion (the “Tabla”) in his spare time.

    Bebe joined Cynosure in March of 2021, and before joining, Bebe had spent over 20 years in the FMCG businesses, including Managing Director of Seed, Accelerate and Sustain Markets and Commercial Excellence, APAC for Johnson & Johnson, and Managing Director for Adidas. She also spent time at Coca-Cola, becoming the first woman leader to direct the commercial organization in a Coca-Cola-owned Bottling Operation. Bebe has extensive experience and a proven track record in managing diverse markets and go-to-market innovation. She is widely acknowledged as a people and business transformation leader. She is passionate about mentoring future leaders and leveraging the impact of cross-functional, diverse, and integrated teams.

    DenaRae joined Cynosure in April 2021 and has twenty years of HR experience in health and life science-focused organizations. DenaRae’s broad HR experience includes supporting organizations as a human resources business partner, organizational development business partner, talent management, and learning and development leader. She spent the last eight years in pharmaceutical/medical-device organizations, where she partnered across the business to build vibrant, learning-focused culture, talent, engagement, and inclusion programs.

    DenaRae holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from University of Illinois Springfield, a Masters in Organizational Communications from Saint Louis University and is a Wharton Fellow of Talent Management. DenaRae lives outside Boston, Massachusetts, with her husband Jake, five sons, two cats, and one large dog.
