Before & afters

Testimonials

“I have been very impressed with how fast I can treat using the fractional eCO2 laser. I treat many large burn scars that can take hours to treat with other devices. Using the dynamic mode on the eCO2 laser, I find that I can shorten the treatment considerably.”

FAQs

Do patients experience discomfort during eCO2 Plus treatments?

Because CO₂ lasers are often used to address more severe skin concerns, such as deep wrinkles and scarring, they may cause more discomfort compared to other laser treatments. To manage this, topical anesthetics are typically applied, and oral medications may be prescribed when necessary. For more intensive procedures, nerve blocks can be used to thoroughly numb the treatment area.

How long is a treatment, and what recovery time is needed?

Depending on the treatment area and its size, a typical session lasts between 10 and 30 minutes. After a gentle fractional resurfacing treatment like EcoTone™, patients may experience mild pinkness lasting 1–2 days. Moderate-energy treatments can cause slight swelling and redness for approximately 2–5 days. More intensive treatments may result in redness that lasts 1–2 weeks. However, in most cases, patients can resume normal activities within 5 days post-treatment.

How many sessions are recommended for best results?

The number of sessions required depends on factors such as the patient’s age, skin type, degree of sun damage, and preference for fewer sessions with more downtime or multiple sessions with less downtime. eCO2 Plus allows providers to tailor fractional resurfacing parameters to meet each patient’s goals and comfort level, ensuring a personalized treatment plan.
